Le Voyage, a trip to Paris with Guillermina Baeza
July 3, 2014 was our day, we presented the new Guillermina Baeza Spring/Summer 2015 collection at Catalan fashion week, at 080 Barcelona Fashion.
It was a unique feeling, after months and months of work, designing and making each model, we could finally show you all the new things in relation to trends, fabrics and colors for next year.
Our collection, called “Le voyage,” is a journey through time, an adventure, a reunion with the most romantic, magical, and exciting Paris. Just like Owen Wilson in Woody Allen’s film Midnight in Paris, where he travels to the most captivating and romantic Paris, Guillermina Baeza draws inspiration from these journeys and transports swimwear fashion to this place so full of magic and charm.
In this collection we dress a delicate and feminine woman in bikinis, swimsuits and trikinis full of handcrafted work, such as metallic crochet or Jacquard fabric with gold threads.
The fabrics reflect the light of Paris, with mauve, orange, brown, gray, aqua green and marine colors combined with the special shine of metallic threads in gold and silver, which give that more vintage nuance to the collection.
The shapes of the garments, swimsuits, bikinis and trikinis with low legs, bare backs with delicate bows and draping, bring the vintage charm of "Le Voyage" to obtain a retro silhouette but of the 21st century.
